In support of the NYC Ballet.

Paul Chessare - Wednesday, June 22, 2011

In support of the summer residency of the New York City Ballet, the volunteers of For Art's Sake have produced this summer's issue of The Ballet Beat Newsletter. This is the fourteenth season For Art's Sake has been working to heighten enthusiasm and attendance for NYCB performances at SPAC. This season, you can even take dance classes from NYCB principal dancers as well as see special exhibits at the National Museum of Dance.

Finally - summer.

Paul Chessare - Tuesday, May 31, 2011

Yes, finally summer is here and I sit at my computer and look at all the green outside of my window. Well, if I get the latest site design out to a new client this afternoon, I can reward myself. I'll knock off before my usual quitting time and do some work in the garden, fire up the grill and get dinner started a little earlier this evening.

Green is definitely my favorite color.

Busy Bee

Launched:
ION Sports Nutrition
Stepping It Up
The Beauty Way

ION Sports Nutrition

It's been a couple of busy weeks here, completing an eCommerce website, and all the little details it takes to make it live. If you're an elite athlete, this is the website for you - ION Sports Nutrition. What could be more important than getting the nutritional supplements, carbs, energy and protein drinks, all you need to keep going over the long-haul.

ION also has the right stuff for sprinters too. For any high-intensity, short duration event you can prep and sustain with ISN Ignition Sprint Fuel.

AND at the same time I was busy getting ION launched, a Life Coach group needed a website for a seminar online as soon as possible. In 5 days I designed, built, added and styled all the content, made changes as requested and launched The Beauty Way, The Delicate Lodge Teachings.

L.A. and Company

AND at the same time I was wrapping up and launching a website for an extraordinary Life Coach who needed an upgrade from an old website that hadn't been touched since 2005. The site will expand on her courses and seminars, corporate coaching, and personal life coaching.

L.A. Reding is a Master Certified Coach, certified by the International Coach Federation. L.A. has worked with corporate giants the likes of IBM, Microsoft, Cargill and Boeing. Pretty impressive.

Snow, snow, snow...let it snow

Paul Chessare - Tuesday, February 01, 2011
snow

Today is a good day to be working, snug-as-a-bug-in-a-rug. I have a hot mug of coffee, New Order, Ceremony is playing and I'm about to send a postcard order to the printer.

Here is a picture I took yesterday. A shred of sunlight illuminated my backyard so I thought I'd take a happy-snap, before the storm today and the whopper we're supposed to get tomorrow.

So what else is on the agenda today? Complete a logo design, stay warm, start a new logo design, lunch, continue working a website that has to launch soon, drink more coffee, more...

The holidays are over.

Paul Chessare - Monday, January 03, 2011

I've posted some holiday snaps at my photoblog - Togaville
I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to some non-holiday-related peace and quiet. It's been too much fun.

Saratoga Kayak launched

Paul Chessare - Tuesday, December 28, 2010
Saratoga Kayak aka The Kayak Shak gets a whole new design with a bright, fun look.  New features include a photo gallery which chronicles the fun of kayaking on Fish Creek, and a much needed Contact-Directions page. The Kayak Shak is located at Fish Creek Marina, and right next to Harvest and Hearth Wood Fired Artisan Pizza.

It's not only a pleasure to do business with the Kayak Shak, but I'm a patron too. This summer my wife and I took our three-year-old granddaughter on her first-ever kayak adventure. She had a blast as we paddled along and pointed out the turtles and birds to her, she trailed her hand in the water and pulled at water lilies. The excitement proved too much and the gentle rocking and summer warmth led her to fall asleep in the bottom of the kayak.

So check out the new website and go kayaking as soon as the weather warms up -

Another year, another Ballet Beat

Paul Chessare - Thursday, June 17, 2010

Volume 13 of the Ballet Beat is now available for download.   For 13 years the volunteers of For Arts Sake have compiled stories and histories, written, drawn, sketched, and generally waxed poetic in support of the New York City Ballet's summer residency in Saratoga Springs, New York.  My contribution each year is the layout design and typesetting, while Shawn Banner creates simple and elegant drawings of the ballerinas and danseurs, and Jay Rogoff has provided poetry. Other contributors including Sarah Hall-Weaver, Rhona Koretzky-Forman, Alisa Forman, and Mary Anne Fantauzzi give us dance reviews, insights into who is retiring or moving on from the company, music reviews, and ballet-related events in town.

Even if you can't be in Saratoga this summer but would like a glimpse into the ballet season, download a copy of the Ballet Beat.

Postcards designed, printed, delivered

Paul Chessare - Monday, May 31, 2010

Zum Photography gets new multipurpose postcards/business cards. Of course, with such great photography to work with, the postcards practically designed themselves.

Paul... they arrived... and they are incredible! They are seriously perfect. Came out great on the card and quality is good. My dad was so impressed, he now thinks you are the most talented artist this side of the Mississippi. Thank you for everything! Thank you for working so fast and keeping me updated along the way.
Brooke

Check out Zum Photography, very cool.
